1967

Leonard Traub opened Alberta Wilbert Vault in Edmonton (145 St & 118 Ave NW) – manufacturing burial vaults

1968

Purchased first septic tank form – two piece 700 gal tank

1970

Name changed to Alberta Wilbert Sales Ltd. • Purchased and moved onto 5 acres at the current location in Edmonton (169 St & 129 Ave NW) • Built 8000 sq ft plant (Plant #1)

1974

Purchased first round form – 8 ft diameter tank

1975

Built a 6000 sq ft addition to Plant #1 to accommodate round product

1979

Purchased an additional 5 acres at the current location in Edmonton

1980

Built block building in Edmonton we currently reside in – housed administration, Wilberta Casket and all burial vaults, septic tank sales and warehousing, the welding bay, the mechanics bay, and Hustler Manufacturing (pool tables)

1985

Purchased 10 ton yard crane to handle the demand for larger product and to maximize efficiencies when loading customer’s and AWS trucks – still utilized today

1991

Purchased additional 2.5 acres at the current location in Edmonton

1996

Built 21,000 sq ft plant (Plant #2) to accommodate larger volumes, larger product, and to ensure no product was poured outside

2001

Leased ½ acre distribution yard in Calgary (3 St & 40 Ave NE)

2002

Manufactured first Rinktop septic tank form and tank

2003

Moved the Calgary office to 1 acre at the current location (43 St & 58 Ave SE)

2010

The AWS Lift Station becomes available for commercial applications

2014

Constructed 7000 sq ft addition onto Plant #2 in Edmonton

2018

Our first low-profile tank (1800 Gal) is added to our product line

2020

AWS Riser Wrap insulation is launched after two years of research and development

2022

AWS celebrates 55 years in business and still going strong

2022

AWS Purchases the Operating Location in Calgary

2026

AWS rebranded to Waterstone Underground Solutions

  I have ordered numerous holding tanks from AWS and have always been very happy with the process and product. The trucks are well coordinated, the engineered drawings are excellent and all necessary paperwork is completed. The two drivers that set the tanks are great to deal with and always make sure I’m happy with the installation before moving to the next site. My company requires all the safety paperwork to be completed and submitted which is always done. The customer service I have received has been excellent over the years, any time I’ve had a concern they’ve always made sure to make it right. This kind of customer service is becoming rare so it’s always a pleasure to work with them
